Maxtop Quartz 25-Year Residential Warranty Terms & Conditions

1. Maxtop Quartz Ltd. gives the following Warranty in respect of installed Maxtop Quartz (the “Product”), subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

This Warranty applies from the date of installation. This Warranty applies only to Maxtop Quartz installed within the UK, which contain Product information on its reverse.

2. Subject to the terms and conditions herein, Maxtop Quartz guarantees, that the Product will, in all material respects, remain free from defects arising from the manufacture of the Product, for a period of 25 years from the date of installation.

3. Subject to clauses 4 and 5 below, if a manufacturing defect is found in the Product, Maxtop Quartz Ltd. will, at its sole discretion, repair, replace or provide a refund for such Product. 

4. In order to receive service under this Warranty Maxtop Quartz Ltd. require proof of purchase in the form of a copy of your original receipt or invoice, showing the name of the owner of the residence and the name of the installer.

5. To request service under this Warranty Maxtop Quartz Ltd. must be notified through the company who sold the Product, as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the manufacturing defect.

6. All decisions regarding this Warranty are at the sole discretion of Maxtop Quartz Ltd. and shall be final and binding on all parties. No representative, dealer, salesperson, distributor, fabricator, installer or any other person is authorized to make any Warranty or promises on behalf of Maxtop Quartz Ltd.

7. The following are not included in the Warranty:

(a) Installation of the Product, workmanship and any defect or damage arising from any work done by any party other than Maxtop Quartz Ltd.

(b) Defects in the installed Product that were visible by the installer at the time of installation. A visual inspection of all materials prior to installation is essential.

(c) Damage caused by securing mechanical fasteners directly into the Product.

(d) Failures due to inadequate support for the installation, including overhangs in excess of the recommendations.

(e) Any defect in, or damage to, the Product which results from not being cleaned or maintained strictly in accordance with the Maxtop Quartz Care & Maintenance Guide.

(f) Cracks in the Product, including cracks emanating from a sink cut-out, hob cut-out or other cut-out, are not a manufacturing defect and therefore not covered under this Warranty. The most likely causes of cracking are settlement or movement, heat, or excessive weight being dropped onto or placed on the tops, such as standing or sitting on them.

(g) Chipping is not a material fault, it is normally the direct result of an impact to the edge of the worktop surface.

(h) Any defect in, or damage to, the Product that results from it being used for any outdoor application, or application involving exposure of the worktop to ultraviolet radiation, chemicals, flames or excessive heat (including fireplaces).

(i) Products installed in any commercial property or in unoccupied structures. Commercial property includes, but is not limited to: stores, restaurants, rental properties, hotels, offices or any other place of business.

(j) Products that have been moved from the original place of installation.

8. In any event, Maxtop Quartz Ltd.’s total liability under this Warranty is limited to the purchase price of the Product. Without prejudice to the above, Maxtop Quartz may support other costs of reinstallation after a full investigation if it determines it would be appropriate and reasonable to do so.
